Last updated: 11 May 2026
SON Networks respects intellectual-property rights and expects users to do the same. This page explains how to send a copyright complaint to us under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and the EU Digital Services Act notice-and-action framework.
How to send a notice
Email a notice to copyright@sonnetworks.co.uk including:
- Your full legal name, address, phone and email;
- A description of the work you say has been infringed;
- The exact URL of the infringing material on our Services;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights-holder, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorised to act on their behalf;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may not be actioned. False notices may give rise to liability.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, send a counter-notice to the same address with the URL, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (and, where applicable, the relevant US federal court).
Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Trade marks
For trade-mark complaints email legal@sonnetworks.co.uk with proof of the registered right and the URL of the allegedly infringing use.
